My Weekend

Greetings,
This weekend has been soooo nice and sunny I'm so excited for Summer!

Exam Week

This week we're having exams!
Our serious exams come thankfully at the end of second year, so these are just exams to see how well we're doing and what we need to work on.
Practical exams all week in swimming, dancing, aerobics and gymnastics!
So far all is going well and I've managed to get a first in everything so far (minus the swimming! But I'm still working on that) - I feel like I've finally found the thing I'm good at!
I wanted to upload a video but for some reason I can't get it to work, but you can watch it on my instagram here. Just a video of some girls from my class practising our gymnastic hoop dance outside in the sun whilst we wait for our individual talks and feedback. (Sorry for the low quality and er just ignore the talking in the background!!)
Other than that I went to the gym today and it's sunny again in Munich!! (It snowed last Sunday?!)
Tschuss!

A Happy Sunday!

Hello!
Usually I don't like Sundays, they're long, all the shops are closed, and I never end up being productive.
However today is different!

Plum, Apple, and Banana Loaf

Hello!
Inspired by the amazing weather we're having in Munich (over 20 degrees!) and that I went a bit mad with fruit buying I decided to bake today. Basing it on the normal recipe for banana bread I also added Plums, apples, and grapes!

Pasta Bake

Hello!
Last night me and Jorg went to see a live band with his family and friends, I'm not really crazy about music but this band was actually really good! It was just in a little bar/pub and the band was called "Paranoized".

In the morning we were feeling tired and a bit hungover (me being a lightweight after only 2 glasses of wine!) and in the past I always made an english breakfast (eggs, toast/fried bread, baked beans, veggie sausages). This time I had porridge with banana, a kiwi and a prickly pear. I think I'll always do that in the future as I felt so refreshed afterwards!
Prickly pear - a bit like a little watermelon!

Anyway we just made dinner and made our own home made pasta bake! So easy to make and soooo yummy, heres what we did:

You will need:
Vegetables - we used 1 red pepper, 1 carrot, broccoli, garlic and a courgette (but you can add what you want!)
Vegetable stock
Pasta (we used the tagliatelle kind)
Cheese
Cream (single cream or you can even use creme fraiche) about 100g/half a pot
Baking tin/heatproof dish

What you do:
Cook the pasta as normal but for half the cooking time (it still has to be a bit hard!)
Cut all vegetables and throw in a pan with oil,
cook for 5 - 10 minutes and season with what you want

Put the pasta in your heatproof dish, followed by the vegetables. Crumble the vegetable stock over and pour the cream over. Pour some boiling water over (not much - make sure your pasta and vegetables aren't swimming in water and cream).
Cover with cheese and put in the oven!
As I live in student accommodation I only have a mini oven, and it took 30 minutes - times will vary depending on the oven but once the cheese looks a bit brown and its bubbling away it's done!

Enjoy!

Back from Zwiesel!

A bit of a late post, but since I've come back I've been busy getting back into my course and also preparing for some exams in two weeks!
We have officially arrived in Spring, and I have photos to prove it!
Mine and Mum's week in Zwiesel...

A friend from Mum has a flat above her house which is where we stayed.

We spent the week walking through the countryside.
And visited the Haus zur Wildnis...
 And climbed a tree!

We also went running on one misty day after it had rained, which was refreshing.
Zwiesel is known for their glass making, so I bought some new wine glasses from their famous glass factory "schott". Reduced from 8 euros per glass to just 3!

I also bought a new Dirndl! So this year at Oktoberfest I can have a new Dirndl everyday :) It's always good to buy  them months before Oktoberfest, as I managed to get this one in the sale - it was 90 euros reduced to just 30!

A perfect week in Zwiesel! Thanks Mum!
